the shoot. Supply is high and demand is pretty low, that is the way of the world. If this guy doesn’t like his lot in life, go get a job where your skills are valued highly.

I’d listen to him complain all day long if he wants. He’s smokin’! Mmm-Hmm!

LOL

Perhaps if we are to get greater clarity we ought to go to where Huffington Post originally sourced their material. That being British Vogue:

Vogue.uk :  “People still just think Zoolander, and to come out with your pride and dignity intact is probably quite hard in this business,” he says of the industry’s attitude to male models. But it seems the tide may be turning. “Now there are younger guys coming in who want to be models. I’m actually proud to say I’m a model now. You pay your dues of not being listened to, but now people are starting to say, ‘Maybe this guy’s onto something.’

Proud to say, because even in this author’s experience it was something you kept on the low periphery and didn’t really go out of ones way to talk about or publicly acknowledge. In an industry that aims to sexualize image and imbue it with a particular brand, the last thing the industry has on its mind is whether the male model is feeling fine about it and whether his masculinity has been shredded or being relegated to a back door puddle while his female counterparts are given accolades and him a free Pizza or vodka tonic on club nights whilst his female counterparts are chaperoned adhoc like princesses.

Just to remind you how precarious things are we have this too:
