Gawker: Mexican drug cartels are allegedly hiring hitmen as young as 12 years old to kill rivals and, failing that, random people — “maybe a construction worker or a taxi driver” — one kid, “El Ponchis” says on a cartel video.
Which begs the question why are drug cartels resorting to using children, children as young as 12 years old to be their mercenaries? Is it because they fight harder, are never suspected, can be trained from the ground up or simply there are no more men 18 and up left to do the dirty work?
But it gets better. A video surfacing below recants one young child’s recent shooting experiences for the gang- Beltran Leyva cartel.
msnbc: The youth tells an unseen questioner that his gang was paid $3,000 per killing.
“When we don’t find the rivals, we kill innocent people, maybe a construction worker or a taxi driver,” the youth is heard saying.
Next time you head to Mexico and are looking for the good shit beware of the 12 year old approaching you, he might accidentally mistake you for the enemy, even if you’re only just the cause of all the bloodshed.
