Lucky we have organizations like the GHMC, whose mission is to feed and counsel those living with HIV/AIDS (at a rate of up to 100,000 meals a year served). Not to mention the support of a big organization like Bank of America, a “believer in diversity”, including the LGBT community.
The fashion show itself was fun if a bit of an afterthought. Not being a commercial fashion show the designers mostly sent down some of their more creative (if occasionally bordering on wacky) looks. Chai and Fustenberg kept things classy, although Yigal Azrouel mental hospital chic aesthetic didn’t excite.
All in all, it was a great night for a great cause. The motto of the evening was “Fight Aids. Love Life,” which seemed about just right.
