Vince Vaughn wants you to know, he doesn’t make fun of gays; he’s just simply a man who brings people with differences together through comedy and laughter. Now doesn’t that sound nice, kids?

GLAAD doesn’t see it that way, however. In regards to Vince Vaughn calling a car “gay”  in his new Ron Howard movie ‘The Dilemma,’ they remarked on their website, “Vince is right. Comedy does bring us together, unless one of us is the punchline. Then it pushes us apart.”

In other words, if you call a car a queen, GLAAD’s going to get you.

Pop Eater: The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has slammed the statement Vince Vaughn released this week, in which the actor attempted to defend the controversial dialogue in his upcoming Ron Howard comedy, ‘The Dilemma.’ Universal Studios has already yanked a trailer in which Vaughn’s character berates a car by calling it “gay.”

The film, co-starring Kevin James, Winona Ryder, and Jennifer Connelly is schedule to open Jan. 14th.

Vince remarked about the controversy, “Drawing divided lines over what we can and cannot joke about does exactly that; it divides us. Most importantly, where does it stop?

We have to side with Vince on this one; it’s time for GLAAD to lighten up, take a step back, and really let Vince’s comedy speak to him. Okay, so maybe Vince Vaughn’s humor won’t be GLAAD’s cup of tea, but if the most homophobic thing they can concentrate their time on at the moment is Vince Vaughn calling a car gay; the gays area doin’ alright.
