As guests milled and took stock in some of the finer pieces that lathed the Parson’s walls (yes one could momentarily be confused for thinking that they were at the actual museum on 53rd st…) – Laura Parsons kindly reminded guests of the good work and legacy of the museum and that continued support and awareness could only extend the wonderful legacy to date.
One of this author’s personal favorite dandies about town Barry Briskin (AFAM’s director) even had the gaul to tip me off about some new exhibits that the museum is set to bring out and judging from his countenance it’s sure to be another knock out repertoire. Who also delighted all and took the photographer’s passion was Angela Chen, China Arts Foundation’s director who recently delighted NY when she brought the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and the NY Philadelphia Harmonic orchestra together for one of the more mesmerizing summer nights NYC had seen in a while. That is not to say Ms Chen wasn’t the only favorite of our dear Patrick McMullan, the revelrie and the elan of bountiful guests ensured that the upcoming gala on the 9th will be attended and heeled with the city’s cultural ennui of who’s who.
