Monday week ago this scoundrel had the good pleasure in joining distinguished company (see guest list below) in heralding the American Folk Art Museum’s upcoming gala on the 9th of November at the Tribeca Rooftop at the private chic abode of Laura and Dick Parsons.
Amongst kindred banter and good will (never mind the delectable yummies drifting like a sublime oasis in front of us…) our hosts Laura and Dick Parsons in concert with our beloved Yaz Hernandez (who will once again chair festivities with the Parsons) announced that the museum will honor seven Advocates for the Arts at their upcoming gala: Betsy Bloomingdale, Edythe and Eli Broad, Mario Buatta, Shafik Gabr, Sheila C. Johnson, Latifa Kosta, and Kiki Smith who we were assured would all be attending.
