There was one fabric that cropped up a few times that threw a serious wrench into my autumnal fantasties. A white, floral laser cut material that showed up in skirts and dresses that looked like Kmart’s Easter Maternity line. It stood out like a sore thumb amidst all the cashmere, wool and crisp, creamy cotton.
On the whole though, this collection calmly and modestly stood out from the flashy, fashion-week crowd, Smilovic took her blushing bows, and kissed her many children sitting in the front row and, in one sweet, succulent show, soothed my irritated soul.
