Perry Ellis, Cool and as Classical as ever.

Everything was retro-mod. The clothes looked light and casual without sacrificing a sense of sophistication (or expense), though this was helped by the styling of the pieces. John Crocco came to Perry Ellis from J. Crew in 2003 and obviously has a traditional viewpoint when it comes to men’s wear. The clothes are contemporary, but rather than being on the fighting lines of fashion, these are clothes that are content to hang behind, see where everybody else is going, and try to be a little more yacht club about it.

The centerpiece of the collection was a procession of around 20 swimsuits at the end. These looks didn’t stray too far from the ones we’d already seen. Nothing especially sexy or provocative, but definitely better than the usual board shorts. Boyish without being fratboy.
