The collection presented an array of shiny, drapey silks in golds and silvers, the likes of which you’d expect on Debra Messing landing at the Globes, lots of fabulously embellished nude Capri-corset suits that would be more at home on a Gwen Stefani or a Scarletty-Scar; some pastelly daytime cocktail numbers for Barbara Bush Jr. and her Jenna twin.

But listen to me, just like Ms. Angsana, I kept the best for the end, two remarkably intriguing pieces, that in a certain way, embodied the road the collection wanted to travel all along: an intricate tapestry/origami of forest-green silks and her drop-dead-gorgeous sister, an incredible green silk, second-skin, long-sleeve mini-dress literally encrusted in gold embellishments . Balinese dancer meets rock and roll. Now you won’t need a headdress with this one, maybe just a chapka askew on your crown, and those shiny nude louboutins I was talking about earlier – and the world is yours…

(As an ending note, I would like to share this little kernel of mindless information. I had a dinner party to run to after the show and I did not dilly-dally once the lights went up. I stormed through every body part that was in my way and engulfed myself into the 1 train at 66th street. In jeans and a tank top, disarmingly charming Alex Wek had already sent a few emails out from the steamy platform. Now say what you will, but that girl is FAST.)
