Cat— it’s what’s for dinner. At least it was what was planned for dinner for Buffalo, NY resident, Gary Korkuc. The 51 year old upstate New York man was tired of his cat Navarro’s bad behavior; but instead of dropping the cat off at a shelter, Korkuc, being the resourceful man that he obviously is, thought it would be a better idea to slather the cat in oil, cover him in a mixture of spices, and then marinate Navarro in his cage in the trunk of his car. Talk about frugal gourmet.
Huffington Post: Buffalo police say officers heard the cat meowing when they stopped 51-year-old Gary Korkuc…They say they checked the trunk and found 4-year-old Navarro in a cage, his fur covered with oil, crushed red peppers and chili peppers.
Police stopped Korkuc to ticket him for running a stop sign Sunday night. Lucky for poor Navarro, who was likely to be Korkuc’s next meal.
Gawker: Korkuc said he no longer wanted Navarro because the cat was “possessive, greedy and wasteful.” He told police that Navarro was mean to him. The memo added, “Do not under any circumstances adopt to this man ever again.” Yeah, that’s probably a good idea. Navarro has already been adopted by a family, and his new name is Oliver.
Gary, if you’re out there can you give me your recipe please?- I have a rat in the basement that I need to marinate as well…
