Every designer started somewhere. Hitting it big usually means starting small, hoping for exposure, attracting notice, and then maybe catching a break. Seven designers vied for their share of the spotlight at the Fashion Keeps Fantasy Alive benefit show for the Haiti-aiding nonprofit Life for the World, hosted by Miss New York 2010, Clier Buffie.

The designers all presented a limited showcase of their work – usually 5-7 outifits. All of the designers seem to have what it takes to develop a core fan base, but who will we be seeing on the national stage? Some had more breakout potential than others.
