‘Fashion fights Cancer,’- a standout sucess!

All in all, it was an impeccably choreographed affair. The raffle tickets were unobtrusively offered along with sliders and mini cheesecakes. The music, although a little loud, was provided by DJ Zeke and it set an energetic back beat to the shopping and schmoozing. Offered in the raffle was a gift bag by Maybelline and Zink magazine with jewelry, a session with a stylist and items from the designers.

The designers, were, of course, the belles of the ball. When I spoke to Ty Canty, the president of Fashion Fights Cancer, he said, “we picked designers that were established enough to have mass production, multiple locations around the country, some level of name recognition but that were still a little edgy, off the beaten path.” He was absolutely right: it was a diverse, respectable playing field of artists.
