“What were you thinking when you did this piece?”
“It’s called suicide note. I was thinking, if I were to kill myself, not that I would or anything, but if I were too I wouldn’t leave an actual note. I’d leave something like this. I was thinking; what if I die, what if this is the last show I ever do? What would I want to leave for the world?”
“And how do you feel about our culture today?”
“Well you’ve got to look at whats out there; what are we saying about ourselves? What are we doing with the power of technology and the internet these days? Whether it’s ‘I fuck mad bitches’ or ‘I got lots of money.’ It’s really important to think about the legacy we’re leaving behind as a generation.”
“What’s with the lips?” Nobody carries around a stack of stickers with pictures of lips on them.
“I call it lip service. These days people go to the street to get up, to get street cred. I give out these lips, stickers, so people can take them and interact with the world. You know, make art out of the things around them; it’s interesting what people will do with them. It’s about trying to take people out of the audience, get them involved, get them to be part of the movement. Everyone’s got a voice.”
“Any big plans?”
“I’m already there. We each, all of us, get a few pages in the history books, I’m just trying to write as many pages as I can. Just trying to put as much of my stuff out there as possible.
“And the name? Nobody?”
“The idea is if I’m a nobody and this is all the shit that I’ve done, imagine what someone else can do.”

I’ve always loved graffiti as art. This is also thinking out of the box. I like the “nobody” idea. Take the ego out.
