While some women may feel secure in their romantic relationships, their platonic ones tend to fall flat. It can be hard to make new friends when you’re in a serious relationship, especially if you live with your significant other. And while “hangin’ with the guys” can be fun once in awhile, no boyfriend really wants their girlfriend to tag along on poker night every month. So what’s the answer? How can women make friends without seeming…desperate?
While many girls seem to think it may be embarrassing, there is no shame in simply being “friendly.” Sure, it’s nice to be better than everyone else. But the adult world isn’t going to be conducive to your sorority desires anymore. Sometimes you have to actually settle on using your dazzling personality to gain new friends and acquaintances. And if that means jumping out on a limb, and saying “Hey let’s get coffee!”, then so be it. It doesn’t always matter how you made your friends, just that you knew how to keep them.
