Francesco Carrozzini

The opening exhibit of Francesco Carrozini‘s work, an Italian photographer and film maker this past Sunday at the  DVF studio included a sundry of  “portraits,” mostly of celebrities, from Daphne Guinness, Robert de Niro, Tim Burton, Mickey Rourke, Keith Richards, Marina Abramovic, Helena Christensen, Peter Marino, Jeff Koons, Lapo Elkann (Italian Fiat Heir) etc.. To be sure many of the guests who attended also happened to be subjects in the Italian master’s works.

Black and white or color in various formats, rather small to rather large giving a sense of incohesiveness (let alone scandalous absence of frames! material just “taped” to the wall which made it look cheap…and the paper was not always even!).

In attendance: his mother Franca Sozzani  (Editor in chief, Vogue Italia), Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, newly appointed W. editor Stefano Tonchi (ex New York Times editor), Karl Lagerfeld, DVF, Helena Christensen, Peter Marino, Jeff Koons, Lapo Elkann etc…
and an eclectic and “cool” crowd -mostly fashion crowd but also artists and even some upper east siders that made it look more “proper.”

See video below…

More of Chervine’s work can be seen here.

Bravo to Scallywag’s Chervine piece, on frame photographer Franesco Corrozini hosted by Diane von Furstensberg at her NYC studio about a week ago. The eclectic array of colleagues & scenster really excites me. Have a look at the video! The thought of Helen Christensen image takes me back to Concord wishes( British Airlines of course! )
