Zachary Iscol.

“It was f*cking awesome,” said one visitor.  Jonathan Cole called it “an extraordinary explanation of belief, of personal transformation.” “I thought it was fantastic.  It has the real Iraqis as real people.” Bill Frank said,

Co-producer with Iscol was Radha Agrawal. A vision of pride and good will, Agrawal generously offered me a few minutes of her time. “I’m blown away by this,” said Radha. “All our harshest critics… they cried.  Seeing everybody here tonight—people are talking to strangers.  There are people of all ages here. This is very exciting, but we still have a long way to go.”

Iscol himself was “A little relieved. I wanted something good to come out of my experience.  If people can learn from the mistakes I’ve made…  then we did our job.”

The next screening is April 29th at 3pm at the Village East Cinemas (12th st and 2nd ave). You can learn more about the film (and view clips) at its official website:
