CH: I think relate events, feelings that I have across and from there hope the earnestness of the material strikes a chord with the listener.

SCV: I’m curious if you could come back as someone from a past life who would you come back as?

CH: Someone a lot cooler than me. (We sit there looking at each other before breaking into laughter). I don’t know, someone who could pull in the masses, get people excited, feeling good, shaking and twisting.

SCV: Would you consider your music pop?

CH: Pop? More indie, with a pop sensibility. Acoustic pop, yeah I like that.

SCV: What gives you the bravado to entertain the idea of a career as a singer/song writer. It’s not exactly the most easiest profession to succeed in.

CH: Really it’s what I feel the most affinity to. At the end of the day, bells and whistles aside, what makes anyone stand apart in the music industry is their ability to write a poignant song that people really relate to and enjoy listening to. Really, I feel what I do is very genuine and real, and this for me is what stands the test of time and how people find you.

SCV: So how do you feel about Lady Gaga? After all, she’s one of those artists that comes with a lot of bells and whistles.

CH: Sure she’s a lot of show, but really if you listen to her sing, she can really belt it out and I think it’s this ability to transcend and affect others that has helped her get all the attention that she does. No amount of being at the right party, make up or get up is going to get you longevity unless you the musician strike a chord with the inside of the listener, and really this is what gives me courage to pursue this.

SCV: What are your hopes? Do you want to be a pop star?

  1. It’s all intents and purposes, JACKASS!

Chandler Hurd munches on more weiners than Kobayashi at Nathans on the 4th.

  2. This is literally the worst written article I’ve ever read. I would be surprise if whoever wrote this has a college degree, let alone any writing experience.
