Developed by an Indonesian fashion artist whose love for modern and historical architecture and furniture shines through to her fashion design—Ardistia designs were the first featured on the runway. Avant-garde space-like suits decked with fur in the place of reflective, bulletproof plates or aluminum crevices—high, extended collars, fur arm warmers and side pockets were markedly distinct. Sleeveless dress version with ruffled extensions also charmingly met the runway along Lucas shorts, venada fur jackets and tailored cigarette pants were meant to evoke the energy of working girl warrior while angular configurations signified urban military-wear.

The unpredictably modern lent way to a more conventional—feminine look: Shauntele. Simple charcoal, navy and black stewardess garbs—classy and conventionally cut—marked the evolution from strange to orthodox. Silk cream tops paired with shorts, chiseled cream-colored blazers with high-shouldered sleeves, and the concept of merging chemise with blazer certainly implemented itself, a la mode—Shauntele. Black elegant mid-knee turtleneck bodices attached to fur covered skirts with uneven hemlines were my particular favorites. Exotic gold accoutrement at the neck and waistlines accentuated and glamorized their simple, supple forms.
