With well-regarded photographer, Brian Marcus, she once again set out in March, 2009 to record the plight of the Malawi people. To be sure, a moment’s inspection of some of the heart-felt work had this particular author transfixed.
The piece simply titled ‘Selina’, which shows a proud young girl in her new school uniform, has the following quote:
“I love my uniform very much and handle it with care. When I grow up I want to be a member of parliament, so that I can best represent the people of my community. I know I must work hard at school and my new dress makes me want to attend school more!”
