SCV: So how does it feel to be here in NY to record your first album?

B: I think it’s cool. But you know it’s not my first time here, just in case you were thinking it was.

(for a moment this author is suddenly caught off guard and pleasantly amused by the spunky little lass who sits currently in front of me in her wild blonde locks, pink pumps (yes), and the deep moments of reflection she affects as she considers the questions I begin to fire off to her).

SCV: So how is it that this is not your first time? I mean you’re from Pittsburgh right?

B: I came here last year to go to some Broadway shows.

SCV: Does that mean you want to be a Broadway star?

B: Well, if I can why not. But really it’s all about the music, and I think it’s a dream come true to be here.

SCV: Ok, so tell me, how did you get such an amazing voice, because frankly you really are wonderful.

B: Well I’m not sure. It’s just there. But it’s also a lot of practice , I mean I think my teacher Christina has a lot to do with it.

(at this moment I am formally introduced to Christina Chirumbolo, founder and principal of the Accelerando Music Conservatory based in Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania).

CC: Well, I am really proud of ‘Brianah.’ She is one of the hardest working singers I’ve ever come across and frankly one of the most talented and pure naturals.

SCV: What I am trying to understand is how did you work out at such a young age you could sing the way you do?
