Approaching Mr Huerter (the curator of the show) he was adamant in expressing the desire to question where art currently stood and despite its ambiguous presence and its restlessness at our current time it still held validity and could be appreciated to re affirm and question current social and cultural dialectics.

“I think its important to question what has come before us, to reflect on the friction and disarray and to somehow embody that in a raw space such as this one which acts to physically corroborate the experience of abandon and newly inspired vibrancy.”

I must have agreed with Mr Huerter for I found myself absorbing the work in front of me and for once I too forgot to pose for the celebrity photographer who it seems will never leave us even if we all dared to venture uptown.

Thank you Ms Eisenberg for an inspiring evening. I look forward to returning downtown soon.

The exhibition will continue until Sunday, February 21st, and will be open for view from Tuesday through Sunday, 10am to 6pm. 143 Madison (between 31st and 32nd).
