We wondered how long it would take for Robert Pattinson to figure out just how much he could get away with in his new role as the most sought-after male on the planet. I seems like the realization is just beginning to hit.
When a girl asked how she could get his attention at an autograph signing session, he told Ellen DeGeneres, “I was like, ‘Um, just take your clothes off.’ And she stood there and frantically started taking her clothes off and got dragged out of the room by security.”
Of course, in the eyes of the permanently outraged masses, this automatically qualifies Pattinson as a chauvinistic abuser of power. “That’s pretty gross, and really wrong. Great way to treat women Rob,” reads one comment. Not, of course, that there is anything at all concerning about a girl willingly taking her clothes off in public because an (admittedly very beautiful) man jokingly asked her too. Don’t you just love a woman with self-respect?
“I’ve never felt more terrible,” said Pattinson. “I sound like I’m actually abusing my position.” Just wait till he actually does start abusing his position. Who needs vampire superpowers when you have celebrity superpowers that magically make women’s clothes fall off?
