Producer, Musician, Fashion Icon Raphael Saadiq Made an appearance in West Village to celebrate the one year anniversary of his album “The way I see it” at NORWOOD (private art club) off of Fashion Ave and 14th st. The multi-level visual extravaganza was THE place for dinner, dancing and an art gallery on the top floor showing the photography of TONE and the mixed-media artwork of UPENDO TAYLOR.
The life and times of 8 months of touring and performing, made for an entertaining conversation display as an art installation centered around Raphael Saadiq. JOEY RUBIN with THE TASTE CREW played host as we hung out on the very intimate “smokers” patio getting lifted and conversing about great art work and good taste in general. I was having a great time meeting some of New York’s radiant soliloquies and very attractive new friends thanks to some beautiful people in my support group.
I had a pleasure meeting Raphael Saadiq and I admire his taste in men’s fashion, and good music. Multi-platinum selling artist formally with the group TONI TONY TONE, I have been banging his music since the 6th grade. The latest Album from Sir Raphael Saadiq and two words come to mind with the sound of this record (classic Americana) Soulful funk, with a blues aftertaste, if you’re a fan of live music or anything that involves a guitar, this album is a classic R&B. I went to church on a few tracks on the album, thanks for the blessing…
