Welcome to recent life in downtown Tehran, that fun place you were thinking of visiting one day.
It seems that Neda, a young local, and an aspiring singer (and photogenic ingénue ) was randomly gunned down in her show of support for the recent uprising in Tehran, Iran
What strikes many including most western media is the colloquial disposition of this young lady, who despite being aware of possible reprisal decided ‘integrity and justice’ was worth taking the possible risk of being caught in any crossfire.
One does wonder where the valor amongst Neda’s American peers also lies, would they had they been forced into such imposition risked life and limb or carried their day with trips toi the mall, Mcdonalds and a sugary dosing of the tabloids.
Who’s to know, but Neda has paid the ultimate sacrifice with her life, let’s hope her death wasn’t in vain.
